STEM Reentry Task Force
The mission of the Task Force is to increase the pipeline of females in the STEM sector talent (by including women with technical degrees who are returning from career break) and to create structural change in the STEM sector (by introducing the reentry internship as a vehicle for engaging with returning technical women). Every year since 2016, the Task Force is composed of a cohort of organizations forms to share the process of developing a pilot reentry programs. SWE and iRelaunch lead the Task Force members in developing and launching their own reentry program through monthly calls, sharing of best practices, a face-to-face meeting, sourcing of candidates, etc. Learn more about the Task Force and view an excerpt our white paper “An Intervention Strategy to Re-engage Women Engineers in the Workforce” for more information.
